The Fall Forecast

Bright star athletes who are hoping to shine their way through the fall sports season

After a mediocre year where the football team finished with a record of 5-5 in 2024, the Boxers look to aim much higher than what they accomplished last season. Kicking off with a 3-1 record, they then sputtered out to 2-4 in the last six weeks of play. But thankfully, this year there’s much to be hopeful about.

To begin, the Boxers are returning First Team All-Conference receiver Josiah Chaffin and Honorable Mention linebacker Nehemiah Faleulu. Both players are extremely talented and will have a large impact in the game.

But the biggest name to look out for is All-American Brody Bantolina. The star running back for the Boxers was a semifinalist for the Gagliardi Award (pretty much the D3 Heisman) and voted Second Team All-American in 2024. This year he was voted to be pre-season First Team All-American. The talent on the team is undeniable, with many other players hoping to take that leap to solidify their name in this conference.

In cross country, there is a lot of optimism as well. Eyes are on 2024 Rookie of the Year Peyton Fisher as he looks to step up in his abilities. Other names to watch out for are senior Henry Tierney and Sophomore Jacob Tilden who continue to put up solid times. On the women’s side, you can’t ignore senior Megan Fietz and freshman Ali Heinly as they’re expected to have an impressive season.
