Court Services Institute is holding a defensive driving course for students who want reduced ticket fines. This course will be open to the public that are interested in attending to learn new tips on how to be a more defensive driver. The course is $45 and will take place on Nov. 6, from 8 a.m. to noon in Berglund lower level room 19.

CSI has held classes on Pacific’s campus for a few years and has about 10 to 14 classes on campus each year.  According to their website, the company develops educational programs to courts, businesses and individuals with the goal of assisting students in making better choices.

They have a number of programs such as defensive driving, ending aggressive driving, alcohol/drug information school, consumer awareness (theft), and anger management skills, which were started back in 2002. Only defensive driving courses are offered on Pacific’s campus.
