Senior Sarah Quade finishes out her last season for Boxer lacrosse
As lacrosse enters their final four games, the celebrations start for the lone senior this season, Sarah Quade.
Of all the lacrosse players on Pacific’s team, Saray Quade is from the furthest town east from Pacific University—all the way in Maryland—and she is this year’s lone senior graduating. Earning an undergraduate degree in criminal justice, Quade also has been part of the program all four years.
She went to Hammond High School, where she Quade played club lacrosse, and caught the eye of Pacific Head Coach Brittany Hartman. During her four years here, Quade is one of the most decorated players in Boxer lacrosse history, playing over 50 career games, scoring 43 goals, and eight assists for a total of 51 points. She also received Honorable Mention in 2024, and reached 100 career ground balls this season, joining an exclusive club that features Boxer legend and former teammate, Hyland Cullen-Musengo.
Quade has picked up right where she left off from last season, scoring 17 goals and three assists this season, and is on pace to have her best season yet. She even started the season scoring in every single game up until the game against Whitman, ending a 10-game streak, good enough to put her third on the team in goals scored.
Quade has not only used her game experience on the field, but also off as well. She has been a natural team leader and has been named captain of the team since her sophomore year. This year more than ever has been a huge stretch of leadership being the only senior on the team.
The Boxers will go on a three game road trip before coming back to the grove for senior night, which will be their home and season finale vs. Lewis & Clark on Saturday, April 25 at 1 pm.
