Life at Pacific looks very different for all students this year, but ACE Board and Greek life Clubs are doing their best to promote fun and safety throughout the campus.
The following is a letter drafted by faculty and staff at Pacific University in light of the recent events of this week. This letter was sent to The Pacific Index exclusively and is here published in its entirety.

On February 10th, a text went out to all Concordia University students saying classes were cancelled for the day. Soon after, at an all student meeting, the university announced that spring term would be their last.
Pacific’s undergraduate Student Senate, led by President Doan Pham, held an undergraduate student Town Hall via Zoom on September 10th to address the most pressing issues and questions Pacific is facing this term.
COVID-19 has proven difficult for everyone, but despite the pandemic, Bon Appetit is keeping it’s employees safe and is continuing to serve quality food.
Arrows and signs mark the walkways through campus, buildings and classrooms have been redesigned and common spaces are lacking areas for students to convalesce like past years. This is college in the middle of a global pandemic.
