Pacific University has officially added two new degree programs this last fall semester, Sports Communication and Sports Leadership and Management (SLAM). Courses for the two majors have already started to be offered and students are currently able to declare in either major or minor.
In light of the uproar regarding the lack of overnight parking on Pacific’s campus in the past two months, students, faculty, and staff are calling into question the overall safety of campus.
This year, the McCall Center for Civic Engagement (MCCE) started a new weekly event known as Civic Saturdays. This is a chance for students to get to know other students and familiarize with the area they live in while also contributing to the betterment of the community.

Students at Pacific University are taking advantage of intramural sports being offered once again since COVID-19. The Pacific University Softball team recently gained a new head coach since the search began in early August. After a challenging six weeks of interviewing and background checks of many candidates, Katie Duroe will be the new head coach.
