2026 Seniors Swing into the Northwest Conference Golf Championship

Nikki Tabios first picked up golf in high school when her dad introduced her and taught her the basics. What started as a simple introduction, turned into a meaningful bond. From there, she fell in love with the game and committed to Pacific. During Tabios’ time at Pacific, she learned important lessons like resilience. Tabios mentions, “Golf is such a mental game, and learning how to stay patient and trust the process has helped me grow not only as an athlete, but also as a person.”

With Tabios’ graduation coming close, she reminisces about what she will be leaving behind– all the team travels, practices, and friendships. The team has built a strong culture where everyone feels encouraged and motivated to be their best, both on and off the course. As she reflects on her time at Pacific, she hopes the legacy she leaves is a good sense of support and leadership. She will be continuing her journey as she pursues her doctorate in physical therapy at Pacific’s graduate school.

Kamas Romney, a business management major, first picked up golf during his freshman year of high school. With his childhood best friend living on a golf course, it felt inevitable that he would eventually give the sport a try. During his time at Pacific, Romney says he learned one of his most important lessons both on and off the course, “Stay present– focusing too much on the future or dwelling on the past only makes things harder.”

“What I’m going to miss the most are the free rounds of golf with my teammates,” Romney said. As he reflects on his time at Pacific, he hopes the legacy he leaves is to work hard, expect nothing, and treat everyone with respect. After graduation, Romney is heading back to his hometown of Montana, where he plans to spend long days on the river instructing fly-fishing.

Other star performing seniors, like Charlie Cloud from Bellevue, Wash. and Ellie Wallace from Happy Valley, Ore., explained that they are ready for a fresh start. These seniors surely will be missed, and we’re excited to see what they do next!

Fans can watch these seniors compete in their last collegiate round on Sunday, April 19 and Monday, April 20. It will be a shotgun start, both days, starting at 8 am at Pacific’s home course, Pumpkin Ridge.
