My all-time favorite Halloween movie has to be Girl vs. Monster, a Disney Channel Original and a classic for me growing up. I’ve always been a believer that Disney movies have some of the best soundtracks, and in my opinion, this is no exception. Watching this movie now, it is pretty cheesy and has some terribly bad visual effects. But the nostalgia, songs, characters, and Halloween vibe bring me back to watch it every year. Had me @ Hello go triple platinum in my car.

There is a scene in Werewolf in London when a young American, who has been turned into a werewolf and has been ravaging London, meets some of his victims in a movie house. They are dead, and mauled, but very English-polite to their werewolf killer. It is a funny, funny scene–and ever since, I have always preferred a good helping of humor in my horror movies. Cabin in the Woods is a great, but ultra-bloody, spoof on Halloween movies, and plays out nearly every monster imaginable, including a vicious “mer-man” that is delightfully weird.

My favorite Halloween movie is without a doubt Hocus Pocus. As someone who gets scared easily, this movie is the right mix of friendly and spooky. It always makes me feel in the mood for Halloween and fall, and never fails to give me a good laugh.

My favorite Halloween movie is probably Halloween Kills because it’s more about the memories I have with the movie. When the movie came out in 2021 it was still during the pandemic so me and my friends rented out the movie theater to watch it and it was a lot of fun and memorable moments.

I actually haven’t seen a Halloween movie before, but I enjoyed some of the Simpson’s “Treehouse of Horror” episodes. I haven’t seen one in years, but they’re always a good laugh when I do watch them.

My favorite Halloween movie is either Coraline or Corpse Bride. I like scary movies but I do like these for just a cozy night in watching movies. Coraline is kinda spooky and suspenseful but it is really fun to watch with the other mom and the back and forth tension of the two worlds. Cat and Wyborne make the movie kinda sad but also very sweet at some points, they’re my favorite characters. Corpse Bride is a more romantic Halloween movie but it’s interesting with the living man, Victor, debating between the living, being in an arranged marriage with Victoria, and the dead, for a corpse girl, Emily, that he accidently marries.

My favorite Halloween movie is The Nightmare Before Christmas because it is a classic and really brings the spooky vibes. I think the animation is super intriguing and portrays the best creepy and spooky look. I know that Christmas is the main theme of the movie, but I think it is best classified as a Halloween movie because of Jack Skellington and his scary look.
