The Boxers look to build on their experience and continue the program’s tradition of success.
With a big tradition of national success behind them, the Boxers prepare for another competitive season while looking to develop their next class of players, as the Boxers handball team prepares for the 2026–27 season. The Boxers are looking to build on the wisdom of last year while continuing the program’s long-standing tradition of competitive success.
Pacific handball has established itself as one of the university’s most accomplished club sports programs. The Boxers have earned multiple national team championships, including back-to-back titles in 2013 and 2014, and have developed numerous individual national champions as well in their tenure. With another season approaching, the focus shifts toward how the Boxers can build on their recent experiences and continue competing all the way to the top against other great collegiate handball programs.
Last season gave Pacific’s handball program opportunities to compete, develop individual skills and evaluate their progress against other great competitors. After that and a whole offseason to evolve their game we should expect that successful tradition to continue on.
As the Boxers turn their attention toward the upcoming season, preparation and player development will be central to their success. Pacific’s handball program has traditionally provided athletes with opportunities to compete in tournaments throughout the Pacific Northwest region as well as the national level. The program also encourages students interested in learning the sport to come and create an environment where both experienced players and newcomers can build alongside each other. For Pacific, having a combination of experienced players and developing talent could play an important role in determining how the upcoming season unfolds. As practices and competitions approach, the Boxers will look to create consistent play while continuing to improve the technical and mental aspects of their game.
For the Boxers, the 2026–27 campaign will be another opportunity to represent Pacific on the national stage while strengthening a program that has been part of the university for nearly five decades. With lessons from last season and a new set of goals ahead, Pacific handball enters the upcoming year focused on improvement, competition and carrying forward its winning tradition.
