The Power of Parking

As a senior approaching the end of my time at Pacific, I’ve had my fair share of parking frustrations over the past four years. I’ve to make many treks on and off campus to my parked car when there were no options close to my dorm building, and even instituted a rule with my friends freshman year that we couldn’t leave campus after a certain time in the evening so that we wouldn’t lose our spots.

Poet Laureate Joy Harjo Shares Famous Works with Pacific Students

Pacific University’s Visiting Writers Series welcomed 3-term Poet Laureate of the United States, musician, and playwright Joy Harjo to campus via Zoom on Oct. 28, 2021 to give a reading of some of her work. Harjo gave a 45-minute reading of several pieces of poetry, prose, and song before holding a 15-minute Q & A with participants.
