Athletes are known to have pregame rituals that help them prepare for competition. Many athletes struggle with their mental toughness, and getting into the correct headspace can determine how the match goes. The Pacific Boxer swimming team has its rituals to do just that.
Many of the senior student-athletes at Pacific have had their season’s end. Highlighting the journey and overcoming any obstacles brought about through playing the sports they love dearly. All while congratulating their accomplishments during the senior night while repping a Pacific uniform one last time.
The Pacific University Men’s and Women’s cross country teams both ran at the NW Conference Championships last Saturday, October 30th in Mcminnville. The women’s team placed second overall and the men’s team finished fourth overall, which is the highest combined team finish at the NW Conference Championships in school history.
Bailee Cofer and Ryan Simms have been able to be found on the Pacific University track all year round for the past five years coaching their athletes how to throw/jump farther and run faster. The only thing different about both coaches this year is a change in their titles.
This season will look a little different for the Pacific Boxer Women’s Basketball team with a high-speed offense and an undersized defense. In the past seasons, the Boxers had no problem getting rebounds and defending inside the perimeter with their forwards and centers.
