Campus safety: Incident reports 3-16 to 3-30

03/16/2012 6:55 p.m. Drugs; Alcohol

Campus Public Safety responded to reports of the odor of marijuana in a restroom located in a residence hall. A student was found to be in possession of two marijuana pipes in the restroom. Marijuana and alcohol was also located in the student’s room. All pipes and marijuana was seized for evidence. Referred to conduct review committee.

 

03/16/2012 11:20 p.m. Harassment

Student reported to Forest Grove Police an assault that occurred on campus. CPS assisted police with contacting the victim. Suspects are not students and were not identified.

 

03/17/2012 3 a.m. Medical Report

CPS assisted police and EMS with a student experiencing a medical issue in a residence hall on campus.

 

03/17/2012 6:52 p.m. Drugs 

Odor of marijuana detected in residence hall by RAs on duty. CPS contacted resident of suspect room. A small amount of marijuana and paraphernalia was confiscated. Referred to conduct review committee.

 

03/18/2012 1:13 a.m. Assist Police/Drug

CPS officer witnessed suspicious activity at F-Lot. CPS officers made contact with two occupants inside a vehicle. Both suspects were under the influence of an intoxicant. Marijuana was seized from passenger of vehicle. FGPD arrived later on scene to investigate a hit and run off campus involving one suspect. Suspect was driver of the vehicle and was later arrested for DUI and hit-and-run.

 

03/15/2012 Theft III

CPS was notified of a bicycle seat that was stolen sometime between March 15 and March 18. The bicycle was secured at a bicycle rack next to an academic building. There are no suspects.

 

03/20/2012 9:45 a.m. Alcohol & Drugs

Resident Assistant reported odor of marijuana coming from room in Gilbert Hall. Officers contacted residents of the room and located marijuana, paraphernalia and an assortment of alcohol. Items seized as evidence, alcohol disposed of by students. All residents referred to conduct review committee.

 

03/20/2012 11:43 a.m. Medical Report

Non-student visitor reportedly fell down stairs at the U.C. near the restroom. Injuries to hand and knee. Victim refused medical aid. Assisted with band-aid and ice pack. Companion assisted victim to bus stop.

 

03/20/2012 2:58 p.m. Medical Report

CPS received a call for a student felling ill in class. Student refused EMS. CPS assisted with getting student back to resident hall.

 

03/21/2012 1:56 p.m. Student Conduct

ARAMARK staff called to notify CPS that a student walked out with out paying for a meal. Officer contacted the suspect who was a visitor to campus. Suspect had a Boxer ID belonging to his student host, which was confiscated. Host student contacted and informed of proper guest hosting policy. Host will be referred to conduct review committee for violation of guest policy.

 

03/24/2012 Property Damage 

Officers, while patrolling, discovered a damaged trash container adjacent to Murdock Hall. No suspects identified.

 

03/25/2012 2:40 a.m. Alcohol

CPS officer responded to excessive noise coming from the inside of residence hall. Officer made contact with room occupants who admitted to consuming alcoholic beverages. Photos taken for evidence, alcohol disposed of by students. All residents referred to conduct review committee.

 

03/25/2012 6:36 p.m. Medical Report/Drugs

CPS responded to a reported overdose. Found student experiencing anxiety after consuming illegal narcotics. Patient taken to Tuality Hospital for treatment. Investigation continues and possible criminal charges will be forwarded to FG police.

 

03/26/2012 7:27 a.m. Property Damage

CPS officer on patrol found that someone had ripped the door off of the back room of a university-owned building. Facilities was notified and a work order filed. No suspects identified.

 

03/25/2012 1:30 p.m. Theft II

Portland Optometry Clinic called to report the theft of eyeglass frames from the store. Suspect was not identified. Value $220.

 

03/30/2012 11:13 p.m. Property Damage

CPS received a report from staff member of graffiti on the Boxer statue. No suspects at this time. A work order was submitted.

The Pacific Index will be publishing all incident reports that are received from Campus Public Safety in order to inform the Pacific community. 

According to the Cleary Act of 1990, all institutions receiving financial aid must keep a public log of crime on campus.
