Softball dominates in Arizona

Pacific Softball not only enjoyed the sun, but five wins out of their six games over spring break.
The Boxers traveled to Tucson, Ariz. to change it up and see some different competition other than Northwest Conference teams.
“It was good for us to compete against teams we don’t normally see. It was a change of pace and kept us on our toes,” said third baseman Lauren Tuey.
Pacific won 16-2 against Carleton College and lost 15-4 against North Central University during their first day of play on March 19.
After that defeat however, any chance of a loss went out the window as the Boxers beat St. Olaf University 7-3, and St. Catherine University 10-1 March 20.
The Boxers got a day to recharge and made the most of it.
Their last day of play Pacific beat McPherson College 10-2 and Calvin University 17-0 on March 22.
Tuey said, “Even though it was spring break we didn’t treat it as a vacation and I think we represented our school well.”
