Soccer starts conference play with win

The women’s soccer team is off to a good start with a 4-3-1 record and a 2-2 conference record early in conference play. The Boxers won their first conference game at home on Sept. 17 against George Fox University with a score of 1-0. The game against the Bruins was scoreless going to extra minutes until senior Ashley Park-Hunt scored the winning goal to give the Boxers the victory. The women’s soccer team followed it up with another win the next day against Willamette University with as score of 1-0. The team has already scored as many goals as they scored all of last season and has only allowed a total of seven goals. The Boxers play 16 ranked Pacific Lutheran Oct. 1.
