Pacific hires head lacrosse coach

After winning back-to-back Northwest Conference Titles, outright in 2015 and a shared conference championship in 2016, the women’s lacrosse team has now hired their new head coach.

Jacqueline McDevitt has come to be the new leader of the Boxer squad after a nation-wide search.

McDevitt was most recently the head coach at Holy Family University in Philadelphia, Pa.

Prior to her position as the head coach at Holy Family, McDevitt was an assistant for two seasons at Caldwell University where she was part of the programs inaugural year in 2014.

McDevitt comes to Paci c with some awards already to her name, claiming the North Coast Athletic Conference Coach of the Year after posting an eight-win improvement in her second season as a head coach for Oberlin College in Oberlin, Ohio.

At Union College in Schenectady, N.Y., McDevitt got a taste of the NCAA postseason when she reached the NCAA Sweet 16.

While in New York, she also received some Division I coaching experience at Marist College.

The Boxers will return a team that graduated just three players. Seven players returned who earned All-Northwest Conference honors team All-West Region honors. last season and a pair of players who The season will begin in the spring received Intercollegiate Women’s for Coach McDevitt and the Boxer Lacrosse Coaches Association second squad.
