From the owners of the popular local restaurant Pac Thai comes Bites, a new restaurant that serves dishes that draw influence from both western and eastern cultures, creating a very unique dining experience.

The food combinations are as delicious as they are innovative. Located at 2014 Main St., Bites is within walking distance of both Pac Thai and Pacific University making it easily accessible for students.

The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Friday and 10:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Saturdays.

The décor of the restaurant can be described as upscale, however, restaurant owner Thomas Gilstrap promises that although the items on the menu may be very different, the prices at his new restaurant are about the same as those found at Pac Thai. This makes Bites an affordable option for students looking for a new type of cuisine in Forest Grove.

While Pac Thai is mainly frequented by students, Gilstrapsaysthemajorityofhis customers come from places other than the university. Gilstrap hopes this will change as more students become aware of his second restaurant.

The unique menu items and the classy décor make Bites a great addition to Forest Grove’s already long list of eateries and a must visit for the students here at Pacific.
