The Facilities Management office will update campus over break

The Pacific University Facilities Management office is scheduled to tackle several projects in spring and summer 2018, including a repair of the buckled floors in Stoller Center.

Marsh Hall will also have portions of its floor repaired over spring break, according to Director of Facilities Management Cindy Schuppert. The floor mat in front of Marsh will be replaced, and new carpet in both the Registrar’s office and the Business office will be replaced.

Over late spring and early summer, Facilities plans to replace the hot water line to Clark Hall, add air conditioning to the Boxer Pause, finish the Cannery parking lot and add a shed to the Cannery parking lot for use by Facilities and Theater Department.

After spring break, the 24 hour room in the Tran Library will receive a new set of chairs. The library will also gain four new adjustable tables, to be placed in the student study area. In early summer, facilities plans to remodel five apartments in VanderVelden Court.

Over spring break, stairs in both Taylor-Meade and McCready Hall will be remodeled.

The cabinets and wall in kitchen ofthe Media Arts department will be repainted over spring break, in addition to the hallways in Murdock Hall and, weather permitting, the house located at 2335 Main Street.

Jefferson 223 and 224 will also be repainted, in preparation for carpet replacement and new chairs that will be installed early this summer.

Later this spring, Facilities will also replace a fume hood in Murdock 102, update the lobby of Marsh Hall and install a student information monitor in Berglund Hall.
