Fitness Center Continues to Test Students Patience
The fitness center and “The Box” are the two areas for Pacific University students to lift weights and work out on campus in the Stoller Center. Lately, at the fitness center, it is a rare sight to see less than 20 people in the gym at once and students are reporting it to be overwhelming.
The Power of Parking
As a senior approaching the end of my time at Pacific, I’ve had my fair share of parking frustrations over the past four years. I’ve to make many treks on and off campus to my parked car when there were no options close to my dorm building, and even instituted a rule with my friends freshman year that we couldn’t leave campus after a certain time in the evening so that we wouldn’t lose our spots.
Staff and Students Organize Campus Safety Walk
On the evening of Oct. 20, staff and students at Pacific University walked around the entire campus with CPS and other safety officials to identify dangerous areas and determine future steps to improve overall campus safety.

Pacific University’s Visiting Writers Series welcomed 3-term Poet Laureate of the United States, musician, and playwright Joy Harjo to campus via Zoom on Oct. 28, 2021 to give a reading of some of her work. Harjo gave a 45-minute reading of several pieces of poetry, prose, and song before holding a 15-minute Q & A with participants.

Travel Courses Return with Varied Options for International Study

Seasonal affective disorder (SAD) affects 0.5 to 3 percent of individuals in the general population: 10 to 20 percent of people with major depressive disorder and about 25 percent of people with bipolar disorder (Mental Health America).
